4.23.20 Update

We are being overwhelmed by

a community in need due to the

unexpected COVID-19 crisis

that is impacting this community.

We are SO THANKFUL for all

of the ways you support us, but

your financial gifts keep us

buying food from Northern IL

Food Bank.  Thank you, thank

you, thank you.

The 1.2 mile line going north on Essington and then east on Hennepin to St. John

It started just north of Caton Farm.

4.8  Currently, all donations will be

matched by a match grant from the ELCA's Daily Bread Matching Grant

project.  They will match up to a total of $500 donated dollars.  Give using Paypal, a check, or through our food bank account!

3.16.20 Update

We expect a large amount of new first time clients over the next several weeks and will need to purchase more food than usual from Northern IL Food Bank.

We prefer monetary donation over food donations because the amount of people who will have touched that can or box is unknown.

For the safety of our volunteers who have to sort and date check all donations, we are not accepting food donations at this time.

Giving is easy when it aligns with your values.  Who doesn't value food, or time spent with family and friends for a meal?

Last year we distributed over 1,000,000 lbs.

Your monetary gift is critical.  100% of our budget is funded by donations. While we are housed within St. John Lutheran Church, the church does not purchase food or pay for any food pantry expenses.  We rely on community support.

Please, give as you are able to.

Your tax deductible donation goes a long way

to feed our hungry neighbors

We feed over 800 families/3,000 individuals a month
